"I met Dr. Ferrari and her staff in July of 2021 for a pretty complicated issue that I was terrified of having done. From the minute I stepped into the office, I was at put at ease. The staff truly gives the Ritz Carlton experience to each and every person that walks in. Once you are escorted to the treatment room, from the second you sit in the chair until you walk out, my comfort was always the main priority. Like many, going to the dentist was not my favorite thing to do, but the second I met Dr. Ferrari, I knew all of my fears and anxieties would vanish. She is truly the most kind, caring, professional, medical professional I have ever seen. I have been going to her monthly for almost a year now and I must admit, I look forward to each visit. Not once have I ever experienced a bit of discomfort during or after any of my treatments. The follow up calls and texts from either Dr. Ferrari or her staff to check in on me are also a welcomed bit of excellence in the days of automated calls or just being a number. 5 stars are not enough for KFA Dental. With the highest regards, Carrie Marone ⭐️"- C.S. / Facebook / May 04, 2022

"I have been a patient of KFA Dental for over three decades. I LOVE KFA Dental, Dr. Angela Ferrari and my hygienist, Melissa. I know that that sounds strange but it's 100% true. The entire staff are the nicest group of people you could ever hope to meet and always make you feel welcome and well cared for. They are always up to date on the latest technology and truly care about how you feel both during and after whatever procedure it is that you're having done. I have and will continue to recommend KFA Dental to anyone and everyone who is looking for a new dentist. I actually look forward to my visits."- D.R. / Google / Apr 15, 2022

"I have never experienced a dentist like KFA, the whole team is by far the best. I love their text messaging system for follow-up, or when you need an appointment, with immediate response during business hours. I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone on the team. Every cleaning I have had these past few years, has always been nothing but great. Each of the hygienists have always been very accommodating to my phobia of going to the dentist, they have made each experience exceptional. Recently, I had my 3rd root canal preformed and Dr. Lewis. This has been by far the best “pain free” root canal I’ve had done. I wish I knew about KFA for my two previous root canals. Highly recommended."- G.S. / Google / Mar 31, 2022
Can I Use Nitrous Oxide Sedation?
N2O (nitrous oxide) is one of the most common sedation techniques used in dentistry. It works for children and adults alike who face fears and anxiety about the dentist. Before we use something like nitrous oxide gas, we will go over your concerns, current medications, and medical history to be sure that nitrous oxide gas is indeed a fit for you. We can use this form of sedation for lengthy or short procedures and can even use it in conjunction with local anesthesia to help decrease potential pain. This form of sedation may not be suitable if you have extreme phobias, trouble breathing through your nose, have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or other similar health concerns.
How Will Nitrous Oxide Work During My Dental Appointment?
Before we start your procedure, we will administer the nitrous oxide gas to you through a nasal hood. You will inhale the gas, and it will act quickly to begin relaxing you. We will carefully observe your health and response to the gas, and adjust the amount as necessary during the appointment for optimal relaxation. You will likely feel a tingling sensation, as well as a feeling of warmth, vibration, and euphoria as the N2O takes effect. This is all normal. Nitrous oxide is typically used along with a local anesthesia, like lidocaine, to deaden sensation; however, it is dependent on the procedure you're getting. When we are done, the gas is shut off and the effects will begin to fade immediately.
Is There A Recovery Period with Nitrous Oxide Sedation?
You should begin to recover from nitrous oxide sedation immediately because it typically leaves the body in under five minutes. You should be fine to operate a vehicle and return to your daily routine as soon as we are done with your procedure. While side effects are uncommon, you might experience headaches, chills, sweating, nausea, vomiting, or fatigue. If this happens, please contact our office if they last longer than a few days. To reduce the chance of nausea and vomiting, we recommend eating a light meal prior to your procedure and that you wait at least three hours after you leave before eating a larger meal.
